I have never read a Harlequin. My oldest friend's mother used to read them w/a decorative book cover over them! I could borrow some from my mil, she is into authors like Fern Michaels, is she romance?

Ive never read one either Gayle. I experienced s@x vicariously in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade through Blume, V.C. Andrews and Steele. After I was done with that, I moved to reading classics in high school...then Crime mysteries....now I just like thick characters and plots...genre doesn't matter as much.

I think it is funny how one can map out their decades according to what they read!

In my late teens, early twenties I read some historical romances. My favorites were Forever Amber and Katherine, I think that I would still like them, both remind me of The Other Boleyn Girl, which I liked. There was also a series with a heroine named Angelique that I liked. Ofcourse I adored Gone With the Wind and have read it a million times.
